can you catch cystitis?

ive had it now twice from having sex!

it's well kniwn that sex can cause cystitis. It's not a sexually transmitted disease though.

No, if you mean catch it from your partner but rubbing can displace bacteria from one area from the other.

Its not catching AFAIK, but sex can 'trigger' it, there's a website here which explains how sex can set it off, it also gives advice about how you might be able to prevent this happening. HTH and you feel better soon

I used to constantly get cystitis, even went into hospital to have a cystoscopy to investigate.
Then I read somewhere to go for a wee after sex,even for a tiny bit.
I always do this now without fail and I've never had cystitis since(10 years)

having a wee after sex should really help, along with pints of cranberry juice, mix it lemonade to make it taste a bit better

i third the cranberry capsules! I do the 'wee' thing before and after, and have a wash down below too, I pop a cranberry pill too, and i've been fine ( i used to suffer terrible) I dont know, you dont see them going through this polava in the films do you???!! lol
