If your doctor referred you for anything last week -

  • then ring your practice's medical secretary some time in the next couple of weeks and ask him or her to check the hospital got it.

Because of half term last week loads of people were off and it might have gone missing.

If you like you can say that 'a friend' had a referral go missing!

Of course your area might be much more advanced than our practice - you may be on to Choose and Book or electronic referring already. So don't panic.

BEsides, considering I have been waiting for 6 months for an appointment with a detitian I would say they won't even bother to check for you because it's still early days...
