getting over severe tonsilitis - can't stop sleeping...

Have been in bed all week with severe sore throat, hot & cold sweats, aching all over..has been horrible.
Doc at first thought it was glandular fever but now thinks it's severe tonsilitis. Have got antibiotics.

Am feeling a lot better today but can't stop sleeping! Feel totally exhuasted and am just sleeping and sleeping for hours...is this normal after a bad infection? Am worried that maybe it is glandular fever after all?

Absolutely normal - you will feel like crap for at least seven days. Rest and you will get better quicker. :)
