Embarrassing Problem

Sorry, I have changed my name as I am very embarrased about this

I think i have a problem 'down there' For a long while now, when i need the toilet, i get this bulge hanging out of my vagina and i have to push it back in with my thumb and only if i push it with my thumb can i actually go to the toilet.

Im really worrying over it, Im scared of what it must look like down there, it has felt different lately too, inside you can feel a little circle and im worrying its my cervix or something - im scared everythings going to fall out

I havent let DH look either, im really embarrassed about it.

Is it possible that things could be falling out?

What could it be?

Your bladder?

doormat · 01/11/2005 17:18

dont know but get it checked out asap

A prolapsed womb? I think that can happen.

You need to see a GP Notme. They will have seen this lots of times before.

NotMeATM · 01/11/2005 17:19

Does this fit with your symptoms?

starlover · 01/11/2005 17:21

it sounds like it's a prolapse... you need to go to the doctor!

have a look \link{http://www.marilynglenville.com/general/prolapse.htmahere}

starlover · 01/11/2005 17:22

or here

there are things that can be done about it so best get it checked out!

emmatom · 01/11/2005 17:27

Definitely sounds like your cervix has prolapsed. Very common after childbirth apparently, especially if you didn't do good pelvic floor muscles.

I never did mine and one day as I was having a wee, I just felt something 'fall down' as it were (how gross a subject is this!!). My gyno said it was a prolapsed cervix and I tried a ring thing which didn't work. I've lived with it now - just means trampolining with the kids is nigh on impossible because of leaks!!!

It's a relatively minor op to have it repaired these days. The op is on my to do list!

Ask to see a female GP who will examine you and if necessary refer you to a gyno!. Probably a prolapse of some sort.

OMG

Starlovers link is my exact symptoms It says its a vagina prolapse and that in some cases the walls of it need to be tightened with surgery

If there is a bright side, it means you get a designer vagina for free!

Exactly NotMe! A friend has just had the repair job done. She was only in hospital over night and just has to be careful not to lift for a few week. So don't fret too much.

Lonelymum · 01/11/2005 17:53

Oh I am so sorry for you NotMe. You are so clearly distressed by this. Do go to the doctor as this problem will not get better by itself. I just want to send you hugs and lots of love.

SoupDragon · 01/11/2005 17:54

I'm sure a MN-er had surgery for this not so long ago.

SoupDragon · 01/11/2005 18:00

this is one MN thread about it although I think there have been several. It may be too much information for you though...

NotMeATM · 01/11/2005 18:17

OMG at the link (thank you by the way )
