Just am curious as to why some bruising takes a long time to appear? I go running and last Wednesday went arse over tit really landing heavily on my left knee. I grazed it badly but it also felt really sore but until today and this evening there hasn't been much evidence of bruising, but Blimee, there is now!

Why has it taken so long to appear?! I would have thought as the result of a big bang it would appear quickly like they seem to in children.

As I said, not serious just interested!

Bruising can take a few days to appear..usually after 3 or so days or so. Also depends how deep the bruised capillaries are away from the skin. It may take longer for the bruise to work it's way to be surface where it can be seen. Arnica gels are really good at helping a bruise.

Hope you feeling better soon.
