Help son's willy hurts.

Hi my 3 year old's willy is a little swollen and he says it hurts to touch, I cannot get an appointment with the doc, they might see me tomorrow. I am worried anyone had anything similar?

Maybe phone NHS Direct? Does it hurt when he goes to the loo?

Balanitis?

There was an article in the Guardian colour supplement on Saturday that said balanitis (I think) could be cured by putting the end of the penis in a bowl of sugar.

His foreskin does not retract yet, he has always had a bead of (sorry to use the word) smegma under the foreskin which the docs said will disperse on it's own as he gets older.

There is still plenty of foreskin, he is not so swollen that it has filled his foreskin IYSWIM No trouble peeing and is his usual happy self, will get him to the doc tomorrow. Thanks for advice.

My sons willy was very sore and it was caused my his foreskin not being able to go back far enough. We got cream (thrush) cream to make it feel better, i was told that if he kept getting it he would have to be circumsised. He hasnt had it since.

My DS suffered with a sore willy for quite some time. It used to have green kinda discharge from it-poor love-I used to feel so sorry for him.
Cant remember the medical diagnosis, but he was prescribed fucidin cream. He did have repeat attacks of it though, so beware just incase.

Is it not classed as an emergency if he is in pain.

Many thanks to all who replied, doc said it was balanitis (felt super intelligent suggesting it!) He has been given antibiotic eye ointment! The doc said it is because the nozzel is perfect for placing the cream under the foreskin, ouch! Thanks again.
