There is sooo much information on the web about this that I can't work out which way would be best, so have turned to you lot to help!

Its on the toe next to my little toe and is starting to get very painful now.

Would it just be a case of going to the pharmacy and asking? What would be the quickest way do you think?

cheers all! Smile

there are lots of over the counter remedies. The advice about corn plasters that you shouldn't use them but I always have. However I have a soft corn between my little toe and the next one and they are a devil to get rid of. I went to the chiropodist who removed it but then I got another one in the same place a few years later and I've just put up with it, using a protective sleeve over my toe.

I get a small corn on the toe in from the little toe. I go to the chiropodist/podiatrist every 18mo - 2yrs and she gets rid of it, along with the callouses and hard skin. She's very good, and costs not much more than a pedicure, but the results are much better.

This reminds me to book an appointment to get my feet sandal-ready for summer!

I had a little one on my toe for a while. I used compeed corn plasters for about a week and then just scraped it off with my finger nail . They just make it all rubbery and soft, 'tis gross, but it worked for me.

Compeed corn plasters haven't got any acid in them or anything nasty they just sort of attract moisure to the area (or something). Worth a try Grin

Agree with schroeder. I had a really nasty corn on my little toe and compeed corn plasters got rid of it.

(Also do not work for them). But they are expensive.
