Bleeding after sex (TNI included - sorry but essential)

Hello

My DH and I are TTC. We BD lastnight it was comfortable and in our usual position we did no have 'rough sex' and it did not hurt during or after. Afterwards I kept legs in the air

Afterwards....downstairs I was in kitchen and felt stuff come out and when I checked it looked liked white patchy/ peach coloured fluid with streaks of red. (wait you will see why I have included TMI)

I assumed that it was I who had bled from somewhere and googled it, and found there can be many reasons which included blood in semen. I have the following questions:

Neither of us have had any other symptons how can we tell where it came from, is it more likely it was blood in semen as it was mixed?

I am going to the docs of course, do you think I should ask for tests to get ovaries/tubs etc checked out I am 35 and have been trying for a year and had a miscarraige in that time?

Has anyone else gone to the docs about this witht this sympton, what was the outcome/tests/diagnosis.

I am going to the doctors its just, well there are so many things mixed in with the fact we are TTC I am anxcious.

Well, you need to get your doc to check you out and your husband should probably check himself out too - has he ever noticed blood in his semen before? Do you ever have breakthrough bleeding between periods? Have you had any cervical bleeding before? The first thing to do is figure out who is bleeding! Then you can get to the bottom of why.

FWIW I had about a year after DH and I got married where I had unexplained bleeding between periods and it was awful. It turned out I had an irritated womb lining and had to go on the pill for a few months to sort it out. But it took a series of investigations to get that diagnosis. We were fortunately not TTC at the time, but if we had been it would've been v. frustrating.

It's easy for the cervix to bleed a bit, or the vaginal walls. If you stuck your finger up your nose a lot it would potentially bleed a little. Vaginas and cervixes are delicate in the same way. I think blood in the semen is possible but the least likely scenario tbh. I also think you are (understandbly) over-stressing.

Before booking in with GP I'd see if it happens again and also get your patner to wank and look. Wank and see - Another way of saying wait and see. :)

update I've been to doctors and it all checked out fine, he said it was likely from near the womb opening. I am relieved we can get on with BDin as I started to think it would be a couple months of investigations and treatment (like when I had abnormal cells) which would get in the way of TTC!

hobgoblin I had already booked docs appt, he pretty much said the same, it was probably a one off and to go back if it happend again. I was overstressing, I didnt do anything yesterday but read about foo foos and look at pictures

Also...DH also rang and said he 'felt something squsihy as if there was something inside' so inbetween him saying that and getting to the doctors and thought I was having a prolapse! Ive never been so relieved to be offered and internal examination . All is fine with my lady door, porch and hallway and I think that DH ,must have felt my cervix (they would be softer as ovulating time) and it ties in with what the doc said about some lining of the womb from near cervix escaping. Ive taken this as DH getting the soldiers to the door so to speak

Finally... the doctor offered me the 21 day test, so over the moon to be getting checked further and DH can go and have himself checked to.
