For a few days now I've been getting these horrendous stabbing pains in and around my right ear, but it doesn't feel like it's IN my ear IYSWIM? It isn't constant, it is sharp and lasts for about a second and comes back every few seconds when it's bad and really makes me really wince. I have taken co-codamol and it disappears for a little while when it kicks it, but as soon as they wear off it is back severe and regular!
If I touch the right side of my face/scalp/eyelid, brush my hair, turn my head or bend down it triggers it.
Went to the GPs, there is no sign of infection in my ear, they have suggested I contact my dentist, and this may make sense as they mentioned at my last check up that there was a little bit of decay in my wisdom teeth, and that it may be an idea to have them out at some point. Tried to get an emergency apt today but it was closed for staff training so I'll call again tomorrow...
Does this ring any bells for anyone? I'm worried that it might NOT be my teeth and that noone can tell me what it is and thus sort it out! Don't think I can deal with this pain much longer - it is really taking it out of me! Plus, even if it is my teeth, what will they do and how quickly? Don't mean to sound like a wimp but it is REALLY bad and quite unlike anything I have felt before! Have never had anything done to my teeth, but have a 12 wo dd so I guess pg may have taken it's toll...
Any advice would be much appreciated. x
