Thrush and Natural Yoghurt

Hello,

I've got thrush at the moment, only just got rid of my last bout which was a normal flare up but this one has been caused by being on antibiotics. I've got canesten but I've also bought some Yeo Valley Natural Pro-biotic yogurt. I just wondered whether people who have had thrush in the past know whether it is better to put the yougurt in my vagina or just eat? I really have no idea and different websites say different things. So far today I've tried both options and inserting is very soothing and eating was just a bit horrible, I don't really like the taste! So, what's best to help? Eating or applying to the area?

Dip tampon in yougurt and insert, keep in for couple of hours - have no idea if the eating helps as well !

I have always done both, I also find a daily bottle of a pro-biotic drink keeps it at bay.

Thanks both - I'd read about the tampon thing, bit scared of that one though as don't tampons dry you out at the best of times?

no, found that this was very soothing and has helped a lot, you need the yougart inside as well as outside.
