My sil went to gps today after about a month of crampy stomach, nausea etc. GP told her tht from looking at her she looks pregnant (how rude) she is a bit on the big side but great way to diagnose eh? He then preceeded to examine her tummy and said that the stretch marks she has can only be caused my pregnancy, again wtf???n Anyway he has told her to go back for a test on monday, the results of which she will get on wednesday ( i thought you could find out in minutes). She came away devastated as she is not looking to start a family just yet, did a test and it was negative. Anyone have any explanation for this gp's strange actions, is there any way you can be pregnant and have a negative, ie if you are a few months along?? Any suggestions welcome, ta

Daft GP!
I had a funny series of events and so I went to the GP and he gave me an internal and said that "There was something in there" and I could be pg, but tests would take a few days (There wasn't a something in there!)I had polycystic ovaries which were causing the symptoms.
My MW throws up her hands and says "GPs, what do they know?"
