At the risk of sounding like my Mother, you're Coming Down With Something. Can you neck a couple of paracetomol, a big bastard multivitamin and hunker down for the afternoon with DD?

FourFortyFour · 26/03/2011 11:26

Have taken paracetomol and now the kids want me to play monopoly.

My head hurts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

early stages of flu?
some other virus?
Take ibuprofen if you can instead - it's an anti-inflammatory, which paracetamol isn't, and will help with the muscle pain better.

FourFortyFour · 26/03/2011 11:30

I have asthma and had been told I can't take anti-whatits.

oh, that's a shame. I didn't realise they were contraindicated in asthma - how very bloody annoying for you!
Have you got any muscle rub stuff that you can use? Ralgex, tiger balm, anything like that? Get that into your shoulders - actually, tiger balm would be good for your headache too (or will that set off your asthma too - I don't know?)
If your shoulders are very stiff, they could be making your neck stiff and tight which could actually have given you the headache - but not the cough.

I just want peace and to sleep but ds2 keeps coming in my room.
