contraceptive implant

Well, I've already started threads regarding sterilisation and the pros and cons of the pill, but I'm going to the docs on Fri and so really need to make my mind up what I'm going to ask for (the best of a bad bunch it seems!). So, can anyone share their experiences of having the implant please?

hello, i had an implant fitted last year, (sept). i think its absolutely fab! i was ill having my DD in may last year, and was told its pregnancy related, so not safe to take pill. when first put in i had headaches for the first three or four months, and very ireggular bleeding. but ive never been very regular anyway. settled down now though, and i forget its even there, i would defanately reccomend it. hope its as good for you if you go ahead with it.

Loved it had zero problems and I had had issues with mini pill. Tiny tiny scar where removed looks a bit like a tb type scar on the underneath of my arm so not really that visible.

Got preg 6 weeks after having it removed too so fast return to fertility!

Opposite here, I bled on and off the whole 2 years I had it. Don't know why I kept it that long. I bled every 2-3 weeks always heavy and always long

Oh Nooooo! I really don't know what to do. I really don't want to risk having heavy/irregular bleeding. I just don't know how to decide! Why can't there just be something that's simple, easy and without side effects?

Anyone else have any experiences/opinions/thoughts either way??

Any last minute opinions before I nip off to the doctors in half an hour??
