That happened to me last year, after eating Starburst out of ds2's party bag.

A back molar which I had only recently had a 'jacket' crown on broke off right at the gumline with the tooth inside the crown.

My dentist did a root filling, then a crown with a post, so I didn't lose the tooth iyswim. I also had to have a slightly alarming procedure where he burnt off gum around the base to expose more of the tooth. So all is not lost for your tooth.

And it cost £850!!

PS, how are the bunnies? Grin

Oh good - so pleased! (Re buns, not your tooth Grin)

My new tooth seems v strong (good job as it was so ££££, esp as I'd already spent £500 on it having 1st crown!)

I had a fibre glass post as opposed to a metal one, which bumped up the price, but dentist assured me it was better
