Dc1 regularly gets ear ache when he swims a lot. Almost always gets it on holiday. In uk normally told to take p aracetomol and it will get better, when in Europe dr always gives anti-biotics and told to stay out of the water for a week, we are going on sailing holiday at Easter and don't want it marred by earache any suggestions for prevention

You can buy swim plugs to keep the water out, that is what my niece does now she has grommits. I forget the name but they come in a little tub and it is a soft material that you just roll and put into the ear and it moulds to the individual shape of the ear. They can be reused.
