Earache

I have had earache for nearly 3 weeks now. After a week I saw the doctor but he said no blockage and no infection so nothing to do but take paracetamol and wait for it to go :(

It's making me really grouchy and grumpy. I have no other symptoms. Maybe my Eustachian tube is blocked (just discovered what this is!) but I have been told by the doctor that I can't take any decongestants as I am PG (38+4).

Any bright ideas? I have been googling and tried the mouthwash one and have been using olive oil drops but I don't have the ingredients for some of the home-made remedies (garlic mixed with mustard seed oil or mango leaves anyone Hmm)

TIA

If the doctor says no infection/blockage you may have tmj disorder. I had earache for months and it turns out to be a problem with the tempero-mandibular joint and the pain can be in the face, neck or ear. google it and have a look.
