Monthly itching

For the last couple of months the week before I am due to have my period I get a fairly itching vagina. It stops immediately after my period begins.

I have tried taking a canesten and it makes no difference so not thrush.

I am on the contraceptive pill called Jasmine.

Is it hormonal caused by the pill or could it be something else?

DOes anyone else suffer from this?

Sounds hormonal.

Thrush is common as part of PMT, but the progesterone part of the pill can cause problems too.

don't know what the asnwer is- except maybe change pils?

I get itchy too, just at that certain point in the cycle, isn't thrush, doesn't seem to be anything else. The worst thing is if you actually set too and give it a good itch while watching TV or something without really realising and you scratch it Blush. Don't do that. Hurts like hell Blush. The various "symptoms" as my cycle goes on are very clear cut nad you can almost set your watch by them so I have just accepted it as part of the cycle. Didn't used to get is before dd was born so hopefully when dh lets me have dc3 it will go away again Hmm Grin

DC3 are you mad Indith Grin

Hmm well am much preferring the answers on here to the one a GP gave me which was you must have chlamydia go get tested. Shock

Now if you all come back going oh yes sounds just like chlamydia I will cry.

May go speak to female GP and see what she says. But I figured it was prob hormonal and I had to kinda put up with it.

I don't have a clue about chlamydia, my youth was not nearly wayward enough! I'd venture to say though taht so long as you are pretty sure that neither you nor your dh has been "elsewhere" you can forget it! Hope nice female GP has a magic solution :)

And yes, quite mad, the girl still doesn't sleep Hmm but currently on industral quantities of iron so need to wait
