hey
can having a baby mess your eyesight up? My little one was born 3 weeks ago and I've noticed my eyesight getting worse; I had her after a concealed pregnancy so havent had any of the antenatal advice etc so dont know if this is normal, if its baby related or if its just me! Also.. do you get help with paying for eyecheck ups/dentist as a new mum?

The hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy can alter the tear film and various structures in the eye.
But it is rare for these to be serious.

It's also possible the fatigue is causing things to be a bit fuzzy.

You ought to go and have your eyes examined.

My understanding is that you do get help from the NHS towards dental & optical care but it varies depending on what part of the UK you live in.
