has anyone used thrush treatments and found it comes back almost straight away?

I took an oral tablet then a couple of days later used a canestan pessary . All seemed fine for about a week- bliss.

Now, I have burning again- when my wee hits the sore tissues, and soreness even when not weeing.

The area ( sorry TMI) looks red and spongy/tiny pimples in one area too. it feels like I am on fire sometimes.

I don't use bubble baths, wear only cotton pants and although I do wear jeans most days they are not tight.

I think I often have thrush but don't know about it- some swabs etc in the past for other things showed I had it, even though at the time I had no symptoms. I don't really have much discharge with it.

Anyone had longer term treatment for thrush as I read that you can use the pessaries weekly sometimes to really shift it.

You should really go to GP and have another swab taken in case it's not thrush.

Some things have similar symptoms, like strep b I think.

Have a look at what you're eating too. Dramatically cut out too much sugar as that is usually the culprit. I don't just mean sweets and obvious sugar, I mean cut right back on yeast products so bread and pizza etc.

See if that makes a difference but defo go to GP and ask for swab test.

Make sure your partner is treated if you are having unprotected sex obviously or you'll just kep passing it back and forth and don't share towels with anyone.

Hope it clears up soon.

The burning sensation etc sounds a lot like cystitis
