If so, did you gain a LOT of weight? How do you keep it under control? I'm getting really depressed now but stopping the medication is not an option :(

I was on it 2 years ago, weaned off a year ago thankfully, however I was not on a huge dose, just 50mg 3 times a day. I did put on a bit of weight, but part of it is because I felt so awful and exercising was not high on my to do list!

I was very greatful to come off it, but I was also aware I needed it at the time, it controlled my pain and kept me sane.

Maybe you won't have to take it too long?

Hi Milliways, thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'm on 75mg twice a day (so same daily dose as you overall) and it's so helpful for my fibromyalgia other than the weight gain (which has been 3 stone in 6 months and showing no signs of levelling off) is brilliant :(

I wouldn't mind, but i barely eat and have no appetite whatsoever :(

Why were you glad to come off it? was it because of the weight gain or other issues?

I didn't like the fact it affected the brain (took me ages after each dose adjustment to feel part of this planet!).

Mainly, I was greatful that I didn't need it. I had nerve problems & headaches. MS was suspected but MRI clear and I just had to ride it out. Took a while but got there and I can cope with residual problems as they come & go without Prescription meds now.

Can your GP advise you? Are there alternatives you can try?

I think there are two other medications out there but not sure if they're licenced for use in the UK. My GP scares me at times i'm sure she thinks i complain too much lol

If you have been on it for 6 months now then your prescription is probably due for review, so make an appt and discuss it. Excess weight can't help the Fibro.

Hope you get something sorted soon :)

Thanks, me too. I feel like a blob lol
