Headlice Headache - had enough now

Hiya - just wondering if anyone can help/give advice on how to get rid of healice. My daughter caught them from her nursery in January and since then we have used headrin, Derbac M and a herbal solution Delacet. I have also been wetcombing ever since and we have all been doing this daily for the last 4 weeks and seems to be making no difference ... I just dont know what else I can do and the whole thing is sooooooo so time consuming. Also my 3 year old has had enough now and no longer enjoys her bath and my 8 month old is none the wiser but also has quite alot of hair - I on the other hand have nearly none left and its in awful condition from all the coming .... help!!

hi poor you.. are you describing nit cases or live lice..the crawling variety?!! I feel your pain...
don't wet/condition comb daily won't make a jot of diffence really.. once weekly as iife cycle dictates, eggs hatch in a week. If you're getting adults within that time post treatment either treatment not working or not being done properly( sounds unlikely- ) or getting new infection from another not being treated.
Hedrin is most effective thing around I think, and side effect potential very low....i hate the critters.... brave heart

The big crawlers came out after the hedrin treatment. Since then we all have tiny black specks when I do the detection combing and I seem to have alot of eggs in my hair but then I am combing my own which is hard... Am wondering whether should try hedrin again as 1st time we just did my daughters hair as had little experience at that point.... its either that or my daughter is just catching it again at nursery but it seems we all have it still.. was so freaked out to start with but now am just cross and poor!!

usually I think need to repeat Hedrin treatment a week later to catch hatched lice. new eggs you'll find are aid cose to sCALP and are harder to remove than older mpty cases which are easy to drag off har nd usaly further down shaft. you could repeat hedrin treatment and repeat aan a week later. then ct with conditioner wet combing once weekly as a mens to new infection detection.... good luck

i would tie dd's hair back, in a plait and add a headband!! i do this when dd goes to school as the person who they may have caught them off may well still have them (i'd suggest quietly telling the nursery but no point as they can't/won't say anthing to any of the mothers which is a shame really as whilst some mums are working their arses off clearing the buggers some mothers do bugger all and so the cycle gets repeated again and again AAAGHGHHH)
