Is there such a thing as POST menstrual tension?

Because I am getting grumpier and grumpier in the week around/after my period than I do beforehand and it's really hacking me off.

I get slightly paranoid (an unanswered email or someone not phoning although they might normally really sets me off), I am horribly grumpy, I feel like life is shit and boring and it really isn't (well it's a bit boring but I usually find ways round that). My head is fuzzy, I can't remember anything or concentrate on processes like cooking.

Fast forward a few days and I will be fine. Full of beans, full of ideas, sociable and more energetic.

Dunno what to do really!

I have always suffered more after my period, then before- since the birth of DS1 and around the time i ovulate.

I discussed it with a GP once, he just said some women do Confused

So that's 2 of us, in 22 years i haven't come up with an answer, sorry.

Yes, I am in the midst of a major post menstrual grump. I am also waiting for the jumping beans to set in. I reckon its just swings and dips in hormones, especially for those of us who have had children fairly recently - its like the brain and body is complaining that you're not carrying on having more and more...grrrr...

Yay, it's not just me then? I woke up this morning a different person - thank feck, because me yesterday was not a good place to be!

I'm going to see about things like iron and oils and see if I can meet it head on. It's getting baaaaaaad.
