Sugar having a weird effect on me

Am re-posting here as I have now googled, which is always a big mistake.

I find that if I eat sugar during the day, then about 3-4 hours later I feel really sick and tired. Today I had a mint imperial after lunch, and felt really sick later in the afternoon, the feeling went after about an hour, but usually it's so bad I have to go to bed and sleep!

I had the same when I was pregnant with DD2 (now 16 mths), it got a bit better after she was born, then got worse about 6 months ago. I completely stopped eating sugar then, but slowly started again, but its so bad now.

Has anyone else had this? Is it just the sugar, or could it be problem with my blood sugar or something? confused

I'm very sensitive to sugar. I don't feel sick, but if I've eaten sugary things, the next day my glandular fever symptoms, that I had three years ago, come back. Extreme tiredness, sore throat, furry tongue, general feeling of bleurghness.

Sugar can by very damaging to the immune system. If your immune system is weak, it can make it weaker.

It really does feel like a poison to me.
