Chest infection

Hi

I have a chest infection - will it get better on its own or do i need to go to the doctor for tablets?

I have had it for 5 days and i'm coughing less and hurting less so just wanted to know if it will go on its own!

It may do. Most doctors won't give antibiotics until you have had the cold/flu for 2 weeks as it can take this long for a bad cold to clear if caused by a virus. If you are wheezing,coughing up green phelgm and feel sweaty and shivery then you probably have a bacterial chest infection and may need help.

I have green yuk so been to doctors and now have a low does of antibiotics (sp?)
