I have a bit of anxiety about dealing with HC professionals anyway

Send me positive thoughts please

I have written this:

  1. Suffered from ?rheumatics? since I was in my late teens, so I have tended not to come to the doctor about them; because they are ?normal?.
  2. I was previously diagnosed with viral arthritis in October 2005 & have been again recently, so I need to understand the likelihood of it recurring regularly over the past 6 years?
  3. While I understand it may need no other treatment than anti-inflammatories & pain killers; I would like that confirmed by a consultant because of my family history of auto immune/arthritic conditions (mum with pernicious anaemia, dad with ankolising spondilitis (sp?) brother with RA)

Not to give to the GP but to remind me what I want to talk about; does it make sense?

How did it go, Katy?

KatyMac · 15/03/2011 10:07

Well initially there was no need for a consultant appointment as 'reactive' arthritis is like this

Well I spoke about my families diagnoses & that my brother has RA quite severely he decided a consultant appointment wasn't such a bad idea

I guess we just need to wait now

I get a letter, then I go on-line & choose my appointment

That's a good question?

I asked would viral/reactive arthritis follow the pattern of my diary

He thought not

& could my diagnosis of CFS/ME have been a very bad/initial attack of whatever this is?

With my negative blood tests occurring during intervals/remissions
