Hi all
Will try to keep it simple.
I gave birth 5 months ago, since then I have had hot flushes. I used to have them before but now they are happening a lot. I can be feeling fine one minute then hot, shaky, sweaty the next. I never pass out though i feel weak and they make me feel washed out after. I have seen the doctor who tested the following:
thyroid, hormones, red and white cells, full blood count and all came back fine.
I feel fine otherwise and really happy but this is making me scared to do much when it happens.
Anyone have any ideas?
Xx

I used to get the sweats in the day and in the night when my first child was little. I put it down to breastfeeding. I would get sweaty round the back of my neck and would wake up in bed with a wet chest or I think behind my knees (it is a few years ago!).

I didn't feel shaky though or washed out. I checked with my mil and she said the menopause felt just like that. So I reckoned it was due to my hormones being all over the place, but in a good/healthy/if somewhat surprising way.

It went away long before I finished breastfeeding, that went on for over 2 years...:)
