Bacterial vaginosis is a bacterial infection - the only way to cure it is to get antibiotics. There are no home methods at all you can use for BV.

From your symptoms that doesn't sound like BV, itching and soreness are symptoms of yeast infection (common if you're been on antibiotics, most doctors will give yeast infection treatment with antibiotics for this reason), not BV again.

Yeast infections are easily treat at home with either over-the-counter treatments or natural treatments BUT it's best not to try to treat this yourself if you're not 100% sure what it is as any treatments may make it worse. Also know home treatments for yeast infections require some known-how...I've seen some treatments shared online which are not only likely to make the infection worse but also may risk your life.

It really is in your best interests to see a doctor. There is no reason to be embarrassed, it's no different from going to the doctor for a throat infection, they happen.
