Worried about DP

Probably being daft worrying, but can't help it. DP has had symptoms you'd expect at start of flu (shivers, fever, clammy, feeling faint, severe headaches, and muscle aches) for 3 weeks now. He finally went to drs (which shows how serious it is - typical man), who gave him blood test. Got results today, he's been called back for another test on mon, followed by dr's appt on weds as they think may be viral.

He's also got really dark pee (sorry tmi I know), I don't know if that's relevant. Stupid, stupid me googled it - and now i'm paranoid may be hepatitis. Please tell me I'm being stupid.

Anyone?

It could also be gall stones and bladder stones.

He needs an ultrasound to check for both of those.

I had some of those symptoms with gall stones. Had my gall bladder out in the end. Tell him to ask for an ultrasound. Many GPs seems oblivious to the possibility of gallbladder issues.

Yes he would generally have pain with gall stones. Has he had any general dicomfort in his abdomen?

I just remembered kidney stones too can cause dark urine. My Dad had one recently.

In fact a general kidney infection might well cause both a temperature and dark urine and perhaps faintness and muscle aches.

No he's got no abdominal pain at all. I really need to step away from t'internet.

Bottom line is there are lots of reasons for dark urine and hepatitis is only one.
