I care for a little boy of three, who has had a thick mucous discharge from his nose, constantly since last September when I first started caring for him.
Apart from the fact that it is uncomfortable for him,and inconvenient for me constantly having to get him to blow his nose, I worry that he is harbouring bugs which are passing on to the other children I care for. (I am a childminder)One of the babies I care for who was generally well before this child started has gone down with cold after cold since.
Has any one any experience of this, or any suggestions of what might help, and how to put it to his parents if there is?

Sounds like my DS before he had his tonsils and adenoids out and nasal lining trimmed.

I would say to the parents that you have noticed he has a runny nose all the time, and that most children have a break between colds so it may be worth checking it out with their GP.
