Has anyone used it? Apparently you can get it on prescription. Thinks DS has an egg despite regular use of tea tree oil. DP doing the wet combing thing now but I had read about DELACET in a mag. It's otally natural and apparently very effective.

Hoping for some good news.

Did it not kill the lice? I thought she said they were nit free. I don't like the sound of the bright green colour.

Anyone else any experience??

Try using derbac M it kills the lice but you still need to remove eggs. My daughter has long corkscrew curls and caught lice 4 times in as many months from some lovely little child at school whos parent wasnt treating it. I just put her favourite dvd on and spent an hour and a half picking out the eggs one by one. I live abroad and we have lemon cologne here. You can spray it on the kids hair each day. Apparently lice dont like citrus and it does work shes been lice free for ages. My sister in the uk uses it as do many of the mums in her sons school.

Does wet combing not remove the eggs?

I found that the comb just went straight over the eggs. They do suggest putting conditioner on the hair and letting it dry a little before combing. Personally picking every poxy egg out made me feel better. Maybe its just my daughters hair. Having the curls make it difficult to comb as it dries.

In my extensive battles with headlice, I've found all the lotions to be crap, the best thing I have found is the Bug Buster kit - available on prescription.

You comb wet hair, with conditioner on, then rinse.

Then you comb again.

Then you comb again using a different comb.

Wait 3 full days and do it again. Supposedly by the 4th time, you've cracked it.

Not quite the 4th time for me, if you even miss one egg it continues, but persevere and it does get rid.

If anyone has tried electric combs, I'd be interested to know what they are like.

I found the derbac killed the living lice as you leave it on overnight for 12 hours. The ones that say leave on 10 mins etc are crap. The biggest problem is when they pass it onto you and you have to rely on dh to help you get rid of them and we all know that men are pretty useless at most things!!!!!!

Thanks guys. DP said nothing found after wet combing. Will continue just in case

We dont like all the nasty chemicals in derbac, lyclear etc etc, just use your favourite
conditioner and comb and comb.
I wouldnt leave gaps of 3 or 4 days as youll probably miss a blood sucker(thats what my daughter calls them!!!)
