my 6 year old, had a fall at school today :( he has got some egg on his forehead, he hasnt been sick or anything but is complaining of a headache..is calpol enough, or should i be more worried? he seems fine within himself, which is a good thing..but you know how the mind does overtime especially at bedtime

As long as he isn't drowsy and hasn't vomited he'll be absolutely fine. My DD took a bad fall recently, got up and walked away with an egg on her head and passed out a few minutes later. She was out for 15 mins, and we spent a couple of hours in A&E to be told that treatment has changed and they only observe them now if they vomit or can't be roused

Calpol should be fine for the headache, and I just know you'll be checking him through the night (I did, even after a dr telling me she was fine!)

my almost 3 year old fell and hit his head on Sunday night, no vomiting, no loss of consciousness etc just the massive scary egg on his head too. We took him to A&E but they did absolutely nothing basically. Just said calpol if they complain of headache, that its normal if they are sick once or twice (but anything more you should ring your local hosp), check them every few hours or so in the night and make sure they can be roused.

thankyou, for your replies i guess i know that they wouldnt do anything if i took him to a&e, it just the whole panic before bed.he is ok, he just keeps looking at the size of his egg, dont think ill sleep much tonight for checking on him though.
