Mole Removal - all advice welcome

Hoping I can get some advice about this. And sorry in advance, this might be a long post.

I have a fleshy skin tag on my breast about 1 cm from the edge of the areola which came up about 8 or 9 months ago. It doesn't bother me but I don't want it there when the baby comes in case it catches in bras or whatever as I'm intending on breast feeding. Mentioned it to the midwife when I saw her on Thursday and she said book in to GP to get it quarterised.

So I got an appointment for this morning and went. The doctor was an absolute cow, would listen to what I had to say just kept saying it'll be fine, its not cancerous or anything (I know it isn't as I've had 3 cancerous moles in the past so I know what to look for now). It took a long time to get through to her that I just didn't want it there. Eventually she agreed to book me in for minor op to have it quarterised or to tie it off at home. I asked for the quaterising. She said the small amount of local wouldn't hurt the baby but couldn't be sure it wouldn't interfere with milk ducts in my breast.

DH and I have talked about it since and we're both not very happy about the local issue, so we're going to tie it off at home. I have been reading about mole removal kits and just wondered if anyone has any experience of tying off at home or these kits?

It's super easy, you don't need a kit just a strong piece of thread. Make a loop and tie it around the tag as close to the bottom as possible. Pull and tie as hard as you can, then cut off the extra length of thread to stop it catching.

The tag will quickly begin to shrivel up and within a few days will turn black and hard and then just fall off.

I've done this on a skin tag next to my areola too and it has left nothing more than a very faint scar that looks more like a freckle. So, so easy to do. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy
