Hi
Just looking for some advice please. In feb I had my second bout of pneumonia in 5 months, felt fine after taking the antibiotics and 2 weeks of rest. Last night I started getting the pain in my lung and shortness of breath that I had with pneumonia but no fever, aches, chills etc, took some painkillers and went to bed, pain has eased a little and not as bad as the crushing pain I felt last night but is stil there. Does anybody know what this could be, I'm thinking it can't be pneumonia again as I don't have the other symptoms and don't feel unwell, its just the pain is exactly the same. Do you think it warrants a trip to the docs or will just ease on its own? Thanks for taking the time to read this and help. xx

I would go to the docs. If you are worried about it, quickly you are, then go. Hope its not. Take care.

"Crushing" chest pain needs to be checked out. Please see your doc.

You could have pleurisy. This can happen after pneumonia. The pain may be similar.

See your doctor, if it's pleurisy, you'll probably be given steroids and some more ABs.

Have you got any tenderness in your calves? Or is it just in your chest?
