My Mum has an underactive thyroid adn is convinced I have the same. My symptons are the same as hers

feeling tired
feeling 'down'
some weight gain
feel cold all the time even when there is no reason to

Has anyone else got this and if so are these symptons signs that I may have it too. I should go ang get a blood test from my GP

Yes you can ask your GP for a blood test for this. Tell the GP it runs in the family and you're concerned you may be developing the same thing. If the test comes back fine the GP might consider what else is causing the symptoms.

and my mum has it and so have I.

I still feel cold though most of the time and dont sleep well.
