Can someone help? I have a mooncup and used it for the first time a few days ago with a good result, but one night I woke up feeling odd. A sort of pain in my tum. I went to the loo and decided to clean the mc...It was almost poking out, but still firmly suckered on to my cervix, I had real trouble breaking the seal.
I freaked out that I was pulling myself inside out and haven't used it since.
Is it possible to pull your womb out? How can I break the seal with less of a struggle?

Sorry!

Ok, don't panic, you certainly won't pull your womb out (unless you have a serious weakness there in the first place!).

What you need to do is relax, bear down and tilt the mooncup to break the seal (usually accompanied by a squelching noise!). Sometimes it helps to rotate it a bit too. I find that to get a good grip you sometimes need to hold the mooncup a little higher up, i.e. inside the vagina- I've cut most of the stalk off, as it was uncomfortable.
