Cat scan

I have just found out that i am going to have a cat scan, well not completly comfirmed but i saw it on my referral form, and it says it is booked.

Has anyone had one, and can anyone tell me what its like?

A CT scan is a special type of xray that makes pictures across your body.

You lie still on a thin bed, then the radiographers make it go up and across, then leave the room. They'lll tell you when they are going to start, then the bed will move you through the scanner quite quickly. The scanner is only 10cm thick, so you aren't in a tube. The scan takes a few seconds to do
