Anyone else develop a cervical cyst after birth??

My GP discovered a large cyst on my cervix last week and I now have an appt for a coloscopy (?).

I gave birth 4 months ago - is it likely to be related. The reason I went for a check up was because I started bleeding again (7 weeks ago now) and starting the pill didn't make it stop.

Should I be worried?

Anyone else experienced this?

I am 26 by the way (was 25 when I gave birth).

Cysts can develop due to mucus getting trapped underneath the surface of the cervical 'skin'. If the GP thinks there is a cyst which may be causing/related to the bleeding then a colposcopy will get you checked out and it's possible for them to do treatment which should sort out the bleeding.
It's like having a smear test but a special microscope is used so the colposcopist can see your cervix really clearly. More information about colposcopy here.
