I have this eye condition (not telling!) I've had loads of laser treatment and have an annual check. Today's the day and I get a bit anxious plus I'll have spooky eyes all evening!

wish me luck?

learn it!

gingerbear · 19/10/2005 10:14

do they put the fluorescent eye drops in? Or the ones that make your pupils dilate? The worst one is where they blow a puff of air at your eyeball to test for glaucoma. Horrid, horrid.

They are yeuk. I am holding your hand via cyberspace m'dear.

JoolsToo · 19/10/2005 10:32

dilate the pupils ginge!
The glaucoma test is nothing to me! I don't have that, my dad has it but my consultant says he doesn't think I will get that as the pressure behind my eyes is low - thats one tick in the box!

I don't mind the examination its what he says after it that worries me!

good luck JT! see you later.

gingerbear · 19/10/2005 23:09

hope everything went well today jools xx

hunkerpumpkin · 19/10/2005 23:11

Oh, missed this - hope it went well, JT and everything was OK with your sparkly balls

You're probably not anywhere near a PC tonight if you have dilated pupils - eek!

JoolsToo · 20/10/2005 17:04

thanks each!

everything is as it was 12 months ago - no further deterioration to my retinas [phew!!!] no laser required - I just have to watch out for things happening.

I feel a lot better now

Brilliant, JT

JoolsToo · 20/10/2005 21:38

thanks hunker

I've worried and worried since I had to have more laser early last year (i have an over-active imagination at the best of times!) - but after yesterday I'm feeling much more positive!

I did come back to this thread to check earlier today, and came back tonight to bump it - and found your update!

I'm a worrier too - I know what that's like! Very glad everything's OK
