Concussion?

Hi,

I do Taekwondo and was in a competition yesterday, I took a hard punch to the nose and mouth area and was knocked out for about a minute, got told to go to A & E if I felt worsening of symptoms and that I had concussion so to take it easy.

I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening yesterday with a huge headache and nausea woke up this morning and I am still feeling dazed and spaced out although without a headache.

How long before I can expect recovery and should I go to the GP today anyway to get checked (was seen by a paramedic yesterday)

Yes you should go get it checked out if you are experiencing nausea. Confusion and dizziness is another symptom of concussion - don't drive yourself but you should go to A&E.
