How long to recover from Glandular Fever?

My DD (17) has just been diagnosed with it (blood test to confirm but the doc has NO doubts). She has been horribly poorly for nearly a month now.. HUGE swollen glands, raw throat , fever and the fatigue.. can only stay awake a couple of hours at best:(

We know there is no treatment as such and the doc is going to write a letter for school (DD is doing AS levels this year) but does anyone know how long she is likely to be wiped out with it?
Is there any supplement that would be helpful?
Generally we are a healthy bunch so I'm not very used to nursing anyone!

It is awful, you need to prepare for the fact that it could take her anything between a couple of weeks and a couple of months to be well enough to do some school work at home. I was ill just before my mocks and unfortunately the illness makes you so 'out of it' I have no idea what homework I did.If her weightloss is really severe she may have problems with sitting or holding a pen. I really hope she gets better soon, I really feel for her, even though it was 30 years ago I remember it being horrible. Wishing DD a rapid recovery
