Chronic sinus problem linked to hormones?

Since having my ds many years ago I suddenly developed chronic sinus troubles. I have been down the antibiotic, steroid ENT route several times, however the only relief I have managed to gain is through rinsing my sinuses through alternative methods(chronic sufferers will know what this entails).I've always wondered if hormones could have caused this sudden onset because since having ds my sinuses tend to flare shortly before my period like clockwork with horrible thick PND
Non allergic rhintis is the name of my condition according to the ENT, which basically means unknown course apart from a mildly deviated septum.
