I have a hospital appointment this afternoon with a doctor who sent me for various tests.

He sent me for 3 different tests which all came back okay. He diagnosed something which was dismissed by another doctor and the second doctor has diagnosed something the first doctor didn't mention. What normally happens at these follow up appointments and how do I not feel uncomfortable that his hunches were wrong and he missed what is wrong when I tell him, as I will. The doctor himself is very nice.

you've probably already left now so I hope it went ok.

I know what you mean, I have had health issues for a few months now and different doctors have diagnosed different things. It doesn't help that I have anxiety about it too. Its difficult to know what to believe.

How did you get on today? Did you mention any of this or get any further?

Hi kf, I just read my OP back and it read like I was going to tell him he was wrong and I wasn't. I was going to show him the letter from the doctor saying what was wrong.

He was so lovely as he was last time and already knew what the other doctor had diagnosed.

DH came with me and we were there for half an hour. He took a long time to explain what was wrong, the reasons for it, the fact he can't help with some things but can with others and I have new medication to take called Clonazepam. Any advice about taking it, much appreciated. I have to take half a tablet twice a week.

Glad it went well for you Fab.

I dont have any experience about it, what is it for? I havent taken it before.

Funny, I have been given meds today and am anxious about them too, I've got a post in Health at the moment - any advice from you would also be hugely appreciated Smile I am being silly about taking it and am really scared!

The tablets are to help me sleep I think.
