My mums having chemo at the moment and about a week n a half ago she had a high temperature and ended up in hospital neurapenic. she has to have daily injections to stop it happening again.
last night she said she did not feel too well and this morning she said she had a lower temperature of 35.8 and it is meant to be 36.5
Is it ok to have a low temperature or should she contact the nurse?

Sorry to hear your mum is in need of chemo. Do you know if your mum's baseline temp is usually 36.5 as sometimes people run lower (although this can also be because of underlying medical issues). I would check with the nurse as at least then it's one less thing to worry about. I know a very low temp is not good but can't remember when it is too low. Is it GSCF injections she is having for the neutropenia? Good luck xxx

Yes 36.5 is mums usual baseline temp and the injection is called pilgrastim (whatever that is lol).
we will check with the nurse if it happens again.
thanks :)
