Is there anything wrong with delaying pre-school boosters

until nearer school, rather than now at 3:4months??

DS is suddenly really phobic of the GP's after seeing baby brother having jabs (WHY OR WHY did I take him too!?) He was very very upset today while waiting in the waiting room with DP and screamed for us not to take DS in as "the doctor would make him cry" :(

Could I wait a while?? I know it will be massively stressful and he is a very anxious child....

Nothing wrong at all! It's just a recommended schedule and nothing is set in stone :)

I find it odd as it says between 3:4months and 5 years.....thats a massive time scale, but send all appointments at 3:4months!

Maybe they're just trying to give people plenty of warning? Or maybe it's for people who may send their child to nursery/pre-school.

My son is 4 he hasnt had his yet we havent had a letter I was going to book an appt but saw in his red book it said 3-5yrs so have waited, Yu've got me worried now should I have them done now?

I think the first jabs give 99% protection and the booster ensures the remaining 1% are protected??

I delayed my DD's jabs until she was over 4yo (was due to start school at 4.6) - just a wrd of warning, we never received any contact from our GP about her jabs - if i hadn't thought to arrange it, she'd never have had them....

What was your reason for delayingmaxpower?
