How can i stop chewing the inside of my mouth. . .? Its been a long long long habit.
Its quite embarrassing to admit it here.

Plus, I am now starting to chew the sides of my tongue. Its really not right and I know its a bit of an anxiety thing. I have had some very awful stressful times in the past with relationships etc. , it may all stem from this.
How can I stop ? Should I see my GP. . .I feel an indiot/nutcase in a way. Do I sound one?
Does anyone else suffer similar.
Sometimes i find I am chewing the side of my tongue and dont even know I am dong it.
This all sound completely mad,, but I am really very normal. . .really.

I would see your GP there maybe some sort of therapy that would help. I guess it's not that much different from chewing your nails etc

I do this - it's usually when I'm bothered about something (so quite often!).

Dh pulls me up on it - he says "Do you know how ugly you look when you're doing that?!" Makes me stop for about two minutes and then I'm off chewing again.
