Grin

Every council works differntly. Our Council Tax was DD but DH has just changed his bank details so we let it 'bounce' IYSWIM.

We had a letter to inform us of this and I sent a cheque. No nastiness, no shity words, just a 'we're writing to inform you that the payment due on X was unable to be collected.'

DD is so much easy because then you don't have to remember.

And as you say, you have enough to worry about and do.

Is it worth talking to them to see (as this is the first time) if they will agree to a new payment plan, set up as DDs?

Dunno Brian.

I get them periodically and mostly when tired/stressed/anxious...

I had them as a child, dad would have to drive me to ENT to have it caurterised at 3 am, covered in blood looking like I'd been stabbed!

Lasted years.
