Opinions- seeing pregnant ladies and new babies when you've got a cold

Have been invited to go meet two friends in a cafe- one 6 months pregnant, the other with a four week old baby, but....I have had ongoing coughs, colds, sore throats, etc. for ALL WINTER it seems like and not sure whether to go along or not or whether it would be thoughtless.
I've asked pregnant lady and she says don't worry you won't still be infectious if you've had it so long, so she's not that bothered , and lady with newborn (her third child) is more laid back than any of us, so MAY not be worried.
Also it's in a cafe so pretty public for germs, etc. I'll not cuddle baby (or pregnant lady!)
It's just been mild stuff, like ten days ago my voice got all croaky and I still feel like I need a cough now and then. A bit sneezy.

Should I go or should I stay away?
Must admit I would love to see them both, but won't go if the consensus is stay away.

Let them know your concern and stay away if they ask you to. I wouldn't be worried at all and it sounds like they won't be either.

Enjoy some time with your friends.Smile

Ooh! Nice post Jas, thank you.
I'm so paranoid of folks saying "How very DARE she?!"

Why don't you meet them for a walk outside in the fresh air instead?

Yes I'd prefer that; maybe we'll go to the park....
