Concerned about dh

I have changed my name as people on here know me in RL and it's not fair oh dh.

Dh has been complaining of pains up his bum ( sorry) and they have been so bad he could barely walk yesterday. Since taking nurofen the pain has eased a little bit. Last night while he was asleep he was sweating so badly that the sheets were drenched.

Dh is the sort of person who will only go to the gp's if he absolutely has to.

I feel really worried. Anyone else have experience of this

He absolutely has to go - you both know that - make an appt and take him there. It might be nothing serious but you both need to know.

piles?

Could be piles - "You may notice a pain or ache around the anus and lower bowel (rectum), which can be really quite severe."

But still needs to be checked IMHO. I know bum problems are excruciatingly embarrassing but he just has to take a deep breath/grit teeth etc and go.
