Please help - tooth/neuralgia?

One side of my face feels like I've been punched, it's worse when I eat. I've taken painkillers, but was wondering if there's any gel/spray/mouthwash that would kill the pain?

Do you know its tooth-related? There are numbing mouthwashes (diflo-something??) but if its neuralgia, it might not help much.

I felt a bit like that when I was starting shingles - hope its not that!

Could it be a sinus infection? I've had a sinus infection that affected the whole side of my face including teeth. Locum GP wasn't convinced but I insisted on a stronger course of antibiotics and the pain suddenly lifted.
