Dodgy back. knackered badly a couple of years ago - been delicate since on and off. Seen physio and been keeping it at bay for a while.

it's been niggling for a couple of days and I've just bent over (to get out sodding bird food) and it went ping. Has taken me half an hour to get out of kitchen. Am sitting now and don't think I can get back up.

And I have so much to do today (day off). eed a shower. dishwasher needs unloading. shopping needs doing. house a tip.

Right leg not working well. Right thigh and Left knee burny pain.

And I ned a wee and don't think I can get upstairs.

Sounds like sciatica. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory but really you need the heavier prescribed stuff from your GP.

Next time - engage those tummy muscles when bending as once you're got a knackered back, it stays weak unless you're yoga crazy. Also try fitflops - have helped my back enormously. Strange but true - think it's the shock-absorbing aspect.

You can buy voltarol over the counter now. I have a dodgy back and pulled it last week lifting a child into the car. I nearly fainted at the time and at one point I was on my knees because I couldn't stand. I reached immediately for the voltarol. I also have a massage chair which I used about 6 times that day and then a little less for the next 2 days. I have to say the mixture of voltarol and the chair got me moving quicker than anything else.

If you can find anyone who does Acupressure this is also very useful at getting you moving very quickly. I looked but couldn't find anyone locally.
